Picnic Chess Pie

“Simple, sweet and always the first pie gone at the church picnic.”

You'll need

• 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
• 1½ cups sugar
• 1 tbsp cornmeal
• 1 tbsp flour
• ½ cup melted butter
• 4 eggs
• ¼ cup milk
• 1 tbsp vinegar
• 1 tsp vanilla

How to make it

1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
2. Whisk everything except the crust until smooth.
3. Pour into the crust and bake 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
